18 Puzzle 1.1

By the second month in the App Store (that is in Nov. 2008) 18 Puzzle sales dropped to single digits. So in December, hoping that an update could somehow improve sales, I released the first update that was approved on Dec 18, 2008.

An update didn't help a bit. 60% of purchases updated within first 2 weeks, but the sales remained single digits.

iDrill

By Nov 2008, flash cards for the second lesson were ready. The second lesson is "All about me". iDrill Mich was the first "all about me" iDrill released together with iDrill Animals. Surprisingly enough German become worst selling language.

iDrill

Together with the release of iSpell on Oct. 21, 2008 iDrill was approved for German and French.

14 Puzzle

14 Puzzle was the first challenging puzzle game that came out from playing with different boards. Unlike 18 Puzzle that turned out to be simpler then classic Fifteen, triangular board made Fourteen a lot more challenging. Quick hack to make triangular board however made it hard to move pieces.

The app was approved on Oct 21, 2008.

iSpell

Magiecom is a label to release foreign language training apps for mobile devices. It was started with an idea of a talking flash card app, but pretty fast the idea grew into a set of language training apps covering different aspects of foreign language learning. They are iSpell for spelling training, iDrill - a game to help memorize the words and their prononciation and iCards - flash cards application used for revision.

First to the market was iSpell that got submitted in Sept 2008 and got approved around Oct 20. 2008 for the following languages: Russian, English, French, Italian, Spanish, German.

The first lesson was "Animals".

Münzwurf

Münzwurf was Magiecom first app, submitted the day I enrolled into iPhone dev program and approved almost right away on Sept. 14, 2008. However, because Apple has been dragging, the app didn't appear in the App Store for a month while Apple has been "enrolling" Canadian company.

Magiecom

On Sept 2nd, 2008 I enrolled Magiecom into iPhone dev program. Unlike Objectorium that went thru enrollment process in about 2 weeks, it took Apple a month to enroll Canadian company. So experience was soured from the start and Magiecom apps didn't start to appear until second week of October
